Hi! My name is Dana​,​ and I’m the owner of ScapeGoats. We began our grazing journey in 2017 with a clear goal to manage buckthorn and other unwanted or invasive vegetation in Minnesota and Wisconsin using a smarter​,​ more sustainable approach. We use targeted​,​ hands on grazing techniques that have been refined through years of real world experience. Our work goes beyond short term control. We remove mature buckthorn​,​ manage regrowth​,​ and help reset the underlying conditions that allow invasives to thrive. Partners often return with a shared long term objective to eventually not need us anymore. By rebuilding healthier​,​ more resilient ecosystems​,​ our techniques create landscapes that no longer require consistent or intensive grazing to remain stable and productive.
